RENEWABLE ENERGY
History
United Power Ltd. had an interesting start in renewable energy in 1983. We were asked if we could create a working solar street light in Burnaby, BC. Up to the challenge, we designed, built and operated a full size solar street lamp.
Since then United Power Ltd. went on to install solar systems at the Northern British Columbia Airport plus a series of installations at BCIT. In 2000 United Power Ltd. formed the National Photovoltaic Construction Partnership and went on to successfully supply and install over 500 photovoltaic systems in Canada and the US.
EJTC IN POCO
Solar Power
March 2021 - United Power Ltd. installed 96 Canadian Solar Modules in a grid tie system connected to AP Systems YC600 Micro Inverters. This system can supply up to 26,880 Watts.
While providing a unique experience for their ELTT students, United Power Ltd. helped the EJTC toward their goal of creating a green skills campus! Recently covered in the Tricity News!
EV CHARGING STATIONS
In 2013, United Power Ltd. started installing EV charging stations. We have installed EV chargers at several locations around the Burnaby campus of Simon Fraser University, the IBEW213 Union Hall, Cam Clark Ford in North Vancouver and more!
